What would it look like for us, the whole Church in London, to cover the whole city in prayer - street by street?
What is Thy Kingdom Come Here?
Thy Kingdom Come Here is an ecumenical initiative encouraging Christians to partner together so the whole church covers the whole city in prayer - street by street.
It is an invitation for Christians to come together and pray in and for their street, neighbourhood or estate and the people there.
It is a call to walk our streets, pray for God’s presence and love to be known there and to bless those living there.
What are the plans for 2024 and 2025?
In 2025 we intend to cover the whole of the M25 region with prayer street-by-street between May and July.
We will provide a proven app that allows churches and individuals to see how their own prayer walking contributes to the wider coverage of prayer within the city.
In 2024 we are running two pilot areas covering Barnet, Tower Hamlets and Newham. The app will be made available to these areas from April 14th-July 14th 2024.
How do I participate?
You can find information about prayer walking in our resources page, but it is as simple as deciding to walk, pray and bless your community.
Think about the streets you can cover but we also encourage those from local churches to pray, walk and bless their community together. Register to find out about local events and prayer walks taking place.
Walk
It does not need to be an additional journey, make your existing walks to the tube, school gate or shop a prayer walk.

Pray
Don’t forget to pray as you walk. Prayer includes being present by listening and noticing, and asking for God’s kingdom to come to that place.
Bless
This is about thriving - as we walk past schools, health centres and businesses we want them to thrive and know God’s love and blessing upon them.
